Yesterday, I had a 1.5-hour flight over Northern Jutland in a Jabiru J170-UL. Wielding my Nikon D810 in such a small airplane was out of the question, so I had to make do with my Olympus PEN Lite E-PL7. Aerial photography is hard!

I biked yesterday in suffocating heat to capture this Focke-Wulf-Piaggio P149D (reg. D-EHJK), only to discover, to my utter dismay, that it had a cover on. (╯°□°）╯

Avian disaster in EKSN. I was reading while waiting for something interesting to show up in EKSN when I heard a pretty loud thud. Sure enough, it was a chiffchaff smashing right into a window pane at full speed. Alas, the unlucky bird didn't make it. Sad!

After being caught unprepared when pilots asked where they could see my photos, I designed and 3D-printed a handful of tiny keychain airplanes with my website address. I figured they’d be less boring than conventional business cards and perhaps less likely to get lost or thrown away.

This morning, I heard on the radio that a Partenavia P.68B Victor (reg. OY-BSE) had landed at EKSN for refueling. I took a chance and biked like hell to catch it, but alas, I missed it by only a few minutes. Instead of heading straight home, I decided to hang around for a while. My gamble paid off: the aircraft made another refueling stop later in the day, giving me plenty of time to photograph it and chat with the pilot.
